Best Places to Work: Are You One?

Q: My company has offices in multiple cities and states, how many employees should I enter at the registration page?

A: Enter the number of employees that will be invited by the employer to complete the survey. For competition purposes, you should only include employees that work in the region of the business journal that is sponsoring the Best Places to Work contest. If you would like to include all employees, regardless of geographic location, please choose the “Customized” option during step 2 of the registration process. Feel free to call Corey Farley (316.210.9393) to discuss customization options and pricing.

Q: Which employees should I include in my employee count and invite to the survey?

A: As a general rule you should include only full-time, permanent employees. These employees are the most likely to be impacted by your corporate culture — and are therefore usually the best judge of employee engagement.

Q: But most of my employees work part-time. Can I include my part-time employees?

A: To include part-time employees, the employees must meet the following criteria:

  • The employees must work at least 30 hours/week
  • The employees are not seasonal or contract workers
  • 50% or more of your company’s employees must fit these criteria

Q: Should Partners/Owners be allowed to take the survey? (Professional Services only)

A: Partner/Owners of a Professional Firm are allowed to take the survey IF they make up less than 30% of the total employee count.

Q: Can my company participate if some of the employees do not have access to a computer?

A: The protocol has changed for paper surveys. Please contact Corey Farley (316.210.9393/corey@quantumworkplace.com) to discuss the new process for using paper surveys.

Q: The number of employees at my company has changed since I registered; what should I do?

A: Contact Cassie Neary (402.408.4162/cassie.neary@quantumworkplace.com) with Quantum Workplace to discuss the change. A change in the number of employees will not be considered with 5 or less business days remaining in the survey period.

Q: Why am I given a password after I enter my company’s org code?

A: The password is given in case the user needs to abruptly end the survey session. When the user is ready to finish the survey they may enter the password and continue at the point they exited the survey.

Q: What are the most common user errors?

A: The most common problem will be an employee clicking on the survey link in the invitation email. The employee will be presented with “Page Cannot Be Displayed”.

Please have them open and new internet browser window and TYPE in the survey website address or copy/paste the survey link into the address bar of the new internet browser window.

If this does not correct the problem, please have them contact Cassie Neary (402.408.4162/cassie.neary@quantumworkplace.com).

Q: How will I know how many surveys have been completed by my company?

A: You can use the Response Rate report. You will also receive email updates from Quantum Workplace daily.

Q: How do we view our results?

A: Your company will be able to view the survey results on-line. All participating companies will have access to their free Overview report. For companies that would like more information about their survey results we offer optional advance reporting at a reasonable cost.
