About Us

Steve Carter, Chief Executive Officer
While CEO may be Steve’s formal title, his true role could be called “Coach”. With four decades of executive and entrepreneurial experience, Steve serves as Quantum’s “gray hair”. Steve bought Quantum in 2002 when it was two guys in a basement. And he invested in its growth as the firm became a leading workplace analytics firm. Steve also owned the Heartland Region of Right Management from 1990 to 2005. Steve grew the company from three employees to 100—eventually selling the consultancy to Manpower (NYSE: MAN). Prior to Right Management, Steve held an executive position in HR at Hallmark Cards—a company he served for 20 years. Mr. Carter received a B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College. He served as a Captain in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze Star and several Vietnam Campaign medals. Steve’s community involvement includes board or leadership roles with the Destin Charity Wine Auction, Junior Achievement, and Angel Flight.

His career began in the investment management business where he created a set of algorithms used to analyze the growth potential of start-up companies. He has a B.S. in Political Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University—and is married with four kids. Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit became evident when he started a business selling polished rocks in his neighborhood at age 9.
Phil Haussler, Director of Business Development

He cut his teeth at Accenture with business and technology strategy projects and later managed large technology projects for H&R Block. He’s the product of big sky and open spaces, scraped knees and climbing trees, a teacher, a dealmaker, a painter, a paver, a telephone operator. Phil believes in doing the right thing – and doing the right thing right.
Andrew Zetterman, Director of Technology
